And all of it is justified with the scripture about 'look not toward your own interest', and 'keep not account of an injury'. Of course, it is very easy to spew this crap if you are on the griftor, sickening for the serial griftee.

Terry, this kind of reminds me of a book I read awhile back. Pascal's Brain or something. The case of Phinneas Gage who had a steel rod go through his skull. He lived, and was functional, but his personality changed radically. (of course, an event like that would leave more than a physical impression). Could you, or someone as versed and eloquent expand upon that?
i wasnt the most academic of children although i had some capability but i could read quite well by the time i was 4 years old at least for my age; i have always read as a child and still read now as an adult both professionally (research) and for pleasure.
i have always been able to write too...and pretty much advanced as well as my peers did in school...perhaps i am lucky, i certainly feel like i am when illiteracy amongst adults and children is rife at present...however.. i remember when i was 16 the wts in the uk were pushing through a scheme teaching those who were not as able to read and write...and an elder in the hall made a point of coming to me and suggesting that i should actually attend the training!!
!....i explained that i could read and write well enough and didnt need to be taught basic literacy... he said that i might learn something new and should respect jehovahs order of things and show appreciation...i did decline his kind offer rather abruptly....but wtf??
95storm, I was embarassed!!!! And, he was an Elder!! Also, I was so mind controlled, trying to fit in being a good little wanna be dubbie. Also, it was before the HIPPA Act. But in retrospect...Too late now, he died about a year later.
i used to embarrassingly get a kick out of going to the conventions and seeing jw families proudly displaying their songbooks and literature strategicially placed in their automobiles for all to see.
some even woyld display yhwh in their windows.
meanwhile everyone in the car would watch to see if other witnesses would notice and give them a joyful wave.

she also said to me, as i was a single mother at the time, that i may have taken "comfort" from my children when i was alone...she seemed to see no difference and stood by her ideas.
God!! How sick!! She sounds like my MIL. Wonder what kind of sick criminal fun and games went on at her house.
